Support
for disks beyond 137GB in new 4xEIDE'99 buffered interface

ELBOX COMPUTER is pleased to announce
LBA-48 addressing support in new 4xEIDE'99
buffered interfaces.
LBA-48 support is necessary for handling disks over
128GB, which are currently a smalest hard drive on the
market. Up to now the only controller for classic Amiga
supporting hard drives over 128GB was FastATA controllers.
New software will be made available for all registered
users of 4xEIDE buffered interface with AllegroCDFS
filesystem later this week.
The update will include new
versions of:
4xEIDE.driver
4xEIDEPrefs
AllegroCDFS

- LBA-48 support
4xEIDEPrefs ver. 4.0
- NOSPLIT and RESIDENT are now the default options
AllegroCDFS ver.3.6
- improvement in reading CDs with surface defects
